Roger Rapson dog trainer

Roger “Rebel” Rapson

Roger has had a passion for dogs his entire life.

He joined the United States Air Force in April of 2000 wanting to work with Military Canines.  He worked with Military Working Dogs getting his WRAP (Military Bite Work) certification and adopted a Military Working Dog (VVesta) and fell in love with the Belgain Malinois breed.

Roger spent 20 years with the U.S. Air Force and retired in 2020 as a Technical Sergeant (E-6). After his dog VVesta passed, he adopted a Black Lab/Great Pyrenees/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix (Jameson) from the Weld County Humane Society and fell in love with the canine training process.

He decided to turn his love of dogs into a career and attended The Highland School for Dog Trainers in Harmony, North Carolina where he earned his Master Dog Trainer certification under the guidance of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) President; Jason Purgason.

Roger graduated with Honors and captured several awards including the Search and Rescue Award, and was also recognized for his efforts for being the only student trusted to take a Working Dog in training home to raise during his time at Highland Canine.

After he graduated, Roger travelled to Oregon to evaluate a Dutch Sheppard and adopted him (Rollo) to train as a Service Dog. Roger and his wife Rebekah are dedicated to ensuring their dogs are happy and well trained and work with different rescues to help dogs in need find their Fur-ever homes.
